Slum Suit is a newly formed musical group from New York City. Their music is a combination of modern rhythms and celtic melodies, influenced by each performer’s cultural backgrounds.
The compositions of fusion jazz, backbeat and baiao accentuated by the “gaita” (bagpipes from Asturies, northern Spain) are a unique fusion that gives the audience a whole new experience with the original and epic trajectory of their presentations.
Northern Spain traditional sounds are a major component of a pleasant and nostalgic experience. The Spanish community has been aware of their potential and as a result, the band has performed throughout several Spanish Institutes and some of the most renowned Jazz venues in New York City.
